Von Miller suspended for four games after violating NFL’s ‘personal conduct policy’

Buffalo Bills star Von Miller was handed a four-game suspension by the NFL on Tuesday afternoon.

The linebacker has been suspended without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Miller will be eligible for reinstatement on Oct. 28 following the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

He could make his return to the field for the Bills’ Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins in Buffalo.

It is currently unclear how Miller violated the policy. However, the ban comes nearly a year after authorities issued an arrest warrant for Miller for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman, who was later identified as his girlfriend.

Miller turned himself in to police in suburban Dallas on November 30, 2023. He indicated that something had happened between him and his girlfriend, but emphasized that this was not close to what he would have done.

According to a police affidavit that officers wrote, Miller placed his hands on the woman’s neck twice, pulled out a section of her hair and threw her onto a couch. The woman was treated for minor injuries, including bruises to her neck, police said.

The woman later recanted her story and the case was dismissed.

He firmly denied the allegations of domestic abuse at the time, telling the media: ‘It’s all false. It’s all not true.

“Never in any of my relationships that I’ve had, never in my current relationship with my girlfriend, have these things happened.

‘It’s 100 percent untrue. It’s an exaggeration.’

The league also announced Tuesday that Cleveland Browns rookie Mike Hall Jr. has been suspended for five games, also for violating policy.

Hall Jr. had been on the Commissioner Exempt List since the start of the regular season and was ineligible to play in the Browns’ first four games.

The defensive tackle pleaded no contest to a charge stemming from a domestic violence altercation over the summer.

Hall Jr. is accused of pushing his son’s mother, hitting her with a bottle, putting her head through a bedroom wall and holding a gun to her temple.

According to the police report obtained by DailyMail.com, Hall left the scene before officers arrived at his suburban home. However, the victim’s mother told officers that Hall had attacked her daughter.

Hall reportedly “left the residence in a Dodge TRX and was likely headed to the Residence Inn in Middleburg Heights,” the report said.
