Vogue Williams reveals she ‘rushed’ to have her three children with husband Spencer Matthews

Vogue Williams has revealed that she “rushed” into having children with husband Spencer Matthews.

The 37-year-old model, who shares Theodore, four, Gigi, two, and 11-month-old baby Otto with the former MIC star, 34, said her ‘baby boom’ was a way to avoid getting pregnant at 40.

She said Mirror: ‘I think I felt rushed [to have children so close in age] because I was like, “If I want four kids, I don’t want to be pregnant after 40.”

So I thought, “I’d rather have it all ready.” Now I’m thinking I didn’t need to be in such a rush.

Speaking about having three children under the age of five, he said: “Some people come up and say, ‘This is horrible! It’s so crowded!” But we love madness. It suits us.’

The revelation comes after Spencer got into an argument with his wife while they “revved up” while working on their podcast together.

The duo is famous for engaging in light-hearted banter on their talkative series.

But Spencer revealed that there are some behind-the-scenes arguments due to her strong opinions, and joked that she doesn’t always find Vogue’s topics “particularly interesting.”

Talking to Roman Kemp about capital breakfast on Wednesday, he explained: “We argue from time to time, and the podcast makes it worse because it’s an elevated version of normal conversation.

‘If you have an opinion, you could make it stronger than you normally would.’

He added: ‘Some of the things she wants to talk about, I don’t find particularly interesting, and vice versa, on the podcast I meant! The format is designed to speed up each other!

“We don’t have the most perfect relationship by any means, but we are the best of friends and we spend a lot of time together, but of course we argue from time to time.

The podcast can often be that moment where we need to get back together, so it’s like “we know we’re recording both of us, should we drop the argument?” otherwise it’s going to be a pretty bad episode.

It comes after Spencer shared an emotional photo of a memorial to her late brother Michael on Mount Everest, which has been covered in prayer scarves by strangers.

Michael Matthews died at the age of 22 in 1999 while climbing the highest mountain on Earth, after becoming the youngest Briton to reach the top.

Spencer has been following in her older brother’s exact footsteps on a mission to find his body for her Disney+ movie Finding Michael.

The former Made In Chelsea star has now revealed that the family installed a cairn, [a man-made pile (or stack) of stones raised for a purpose]dedicated to Michael when his body could not be found at the Thukla Pass in Chukla Lare.

The pass is home to more than 100 memorials to those who have lost their lives in the mountains.

Spencer shared a remarkable photo on Instagram, showing the monument when it was first established in 1999, and how it looks today, with dozens of prayer kerchiefs left there by strangers.

Wearing a baby blue fleece, beanie and gloves to protect himself from the elements, the reality star stood by the memorial, in awe of the many who so graciously left a tribute to his brother.

Alongside the post, he wrote: ‘On the way to Everest, you come to the Thukla pass at Chukla Lare, home to a collection of stupas (stone cairns), reminiscent of some of those taken down the mountain.

“Shortly after Michael died and in the absence of a body, we built one for him so he could be remembered on this beautiful path.

‘Last year I visited Mike’s and found it completely covered in prayer kerchiefs. Swipe to see what it was like in 1999.’

Michael’s body has never been recovered and his family have never been able to fully understand what happened to him.

Now streaming on Disney+, Finding Michael follows Spencer’s emotional quest to find her late brother’s body with adventurer Bear Grylls and mountaineer Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja.

During the film, Spencer, who was just 10 when her brother died, went on a ‘harrowing’ mission to climb Everest and find her brother’s body, retracing the ‘exact steps’ her brother took when he died.
