Vogue said: ‘I’m so excited to be joining the Strictly family! Carlos would have a better chance of winning a Nobel Prize than of turning me into a good dancer, but I’m determined to do my very best! I’m loving it so far, bring on the Ballroom Floor.’

Vogue is no stranger to the ballroom, having previously competed on the Australian version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars, in 2012, where she came out third.

The first two celebrities were announced on Strictly: It Takes Two this week and it was revealed that Josh would be teamed up with professional dancer Karen Hauer, while Tayce would be paired with Kai Widdrington.

Welsh-born Tayce shot to fame as a finalist on season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Often nicknamed Naomi Campbell from Drag, she models in catwalk fashion shows all over the world.

She has also presented on BBC Radio 1, MTV and Sky and even released her own rap single.

Speaking about joining the Strictly festive line-up, Tayce said: ‘I can’t wait to sled on the Strictly Ballroom floor.

‘My partner and I are going to dance for our lives! In all seriousness, it is an incredible honor to be the first Drag artist to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.

The soap star is currently taking part in this year’s regular edition of Strictly, dancing alongside professional Michelle Tsiakkas.

The news of Josh taking part in Strictly comes weeks after it was revealed he had also signed up for Celebrity Gogglebox.

Josh sat down with his friend and fellow comedian Stephen Merchant, who co-wrote The Office with Ricky Gervais.

Stephen, 49, who has since starred alongside Scarlett Johansson in blockbusters Logan and Jojo Rabit, has said he’s not normally much of a TV talker but was excited to sit down with Josh.

He said: ‘I usually don’t allow myself to talk when the TV is on because I know how much work goes into making programmes, so I try to give them my full attention.

‘But I’m glad I can break my own Stand Up to Cancer rule and take part in this year’s Gogglebox special with my friend Josh Widdicombe.’

Josh, a regular face on the stand-up circuit and a star on a number of panels, said: ‘It does fantastic work, raising money for life-saving research, and it’s a privilege to be involved.

“Stand Up to Cancer is a great cause, so I’m honored to be involved. I love Stephen and especially enjoy working with him when we sit so I don’t look like a hobbit next to him.’

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
