The incident occurred Thursday in a Virginia suburb outside of Richmond while Jessica Saenz was working from her home on Bison Ford Drive.

Speaking to several outlets this week, she recalled how the surprisingly daring incident of porch piracy unfolded — first with a frantic knock on the door by the just-robbered delivery driver.

After interrupting her work meeting, the noise led Saenz to get up and answer the door — only to find out that the package the female FedEx employee was delivering was an iPad ordered by her husband, only was stolen seconds ago.

The incident occurred Thursday in a Virginia suburb outside of Richmond while homeowner Jessica Saenz (saw her) was working from her home on Bison Ford Drive. In the package, now lost, was an iPad that her husband had bought for her.

She checked her doorbell camera to investigate – and immediately saw the brazen bandit running after the woman and grabbing him from his hands.

While the suspect was still at large, Saenz complained about the current state of her neighborhood, set in the relatively sleepy village of Chesterfield.

“They don’t even care that there’s a camera in there,” Saenz told WRIC of the maskless suspect, who she said told the FedEx employee that he lived at her home before rushing in for the grab.

“I was in a meeting and the FedEx lady started knocking really loudly on my door,” she recalls, visibly frustrated and now out of her expensive package.

“I’m like, ‘What’s going on? ”

When she checked the doorbell camera to see what happened, she said she couldn’t believe her eyes.

Her neighbor, while walking his dog, saw it all happen in person – and said that, despite a recent spike in similar incidents in the US, he was also baffled by how brazen the theft was.

“It’s kind of crazy,” Johnny Eubanks said of the robbery, which is considered a federal felony that could carry up to five years in prison.

“I’ve never seen anything like it before,” he remarked.

“Usually people are sneaky about it. Nowadays people are quite desperate.’

Police in the town of 3,500 are now using the footage to track down the suspect – whose getaway car was apparently involved in another robbery that took place in the area last month.

The suspect, who can be seen in a white T-shirt and jeans on the now-viral footage, remains on the run and has yet to be identified despite his close-up.

The Chesterfield County Police Department said it is investigating the incident. DailyMail.com has reached out to FedEx for comment.
