Virgin passenger puts feet on armrest on flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne
Passenger reprimanded for unsanitary behavior on their Virgin flight from the Gold Coast: ‘One of the most disgusting things I’ve seen in a long time’
- Passenger put his bare feet on the armrest
- Fellow flyer snapped photo of ‘disgusting’ act
A traveler was called up because he leaned his bare feet on the armrest of a seat on an airplane.
Another passenger on the Virgin flight flying from the Gold Coast to Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon snapped a photo of the inappropriate act.
“This would have to be one of the most disgusting things I’ve seen on a flight in a long time,” they wrote, sharing the photo on a Facebook group.
The passenger sitting in the front had a service dog with him while the seat next to it was empty.

The person behind them carelessly put both feet on the arm of the empty chair, shocking a nearby traveler.
The passenger who took the photo revealed that after 20 minutes of “forbearance,” they politely asked the person to remove their feet.
“They thought it was okay because the seat was empty,” they said.
Other Facebook users revealed their own horror stories while on the air.
‘Once I sat in the chair with the feet sticking out. Attached to a backpacker (so you can imagine the smell). Long distance from Paris to Singapore. It was extremely unpleasant and I draped a blanket over it,” said one.
“It reminds me of the time that flew by and the person sitting next to me started picking and wiping the dead skin off their feet,” said another.
