Virgin Australia travelers have been treated to a unique Halloween party at an altitude of 12,000 meters for the first time.
Passengers flying from Perth to Sydney ushered in the spooky holiday aboard Virgin Australia’s first Halloween night flight.
At the stroke of midnight, guests were treated to an array of sweet snacks while decked out in creepy clothing and monstrous makeup.
To celebrate the rising popularity of Halloween in Australia, Virgin has ‘reduced’ fares on selected flights, allowing loyal customers to grab a one-way ticket for just 5,200 Velocity points for a limited time.
Before the flight took off, pilots and cabin crew enjoyed sweet treats from Mars Wrigley, including M&M’S, Milky Ways and Maltesers in the terminal, which was transformed into a haunted hall.

Guests dressed as vampires, zombies, devils and witches, while flight attendants added creepy face paint and accessories to their uniforms to get into the mood.
While in the air, all on board enjoyed the biggest Halloween party ever, with more fun treats from Mars Wrigley served from spider web covered carts.
To keep the terrifying fun going, Virgin Australia also invited the entire frontline to give their uniforms a hair-raising twist over the next 24 hours.
More than 3.5 million Australians celebrate Halloween and many plan to go trick or treating, while others plan to stock up on candy for costumed door knockers.
Virgin Australia Chief Customer and Digital Officer Paul Jones said as more Australians embark on spooky holidays, the airline was keen to share their guests’ excitement and take the festivities to the next level.

“Our cabin crew loved getting into the Halloween spirit and guests were excited about the theater. From the eerie orange lighting during the flight and the spooky costumes to the trick-or-treating in the sky, it was without a doubt one of our most memorable flights,” he said.
Mars Wrigley Chief Halloween Officer Richard Weisinger added that Halloween is one of the busiest times for the confectionery company and said one treat in particular was a fitting inclusion on the inaugural night flight.
“M&M’S was the first chocolate brand to travel into space in 1981, so it makes perfect sense that M&M’S is involved in Australia’s first ever Halloween Night Flight,” he said.
