Virgin Australia: Woman dies mid-flight on plane from Brisbane to Melbourne
A woman has died on a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne.
The passenger lost consciousness on the Virgin Australia plane at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
The aircraft’s crew performed CPR on the woman as the plane was given priority to land at Tullamarine at 10.15am.
Emergency services were on the platform ready to help the woman.
A Virgin Australia spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia: “The passenger was removed from the aircraft but sadly passed away later.”
The passenger’s death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Virgin Australia for comment.
