Virgin Australia has launched its first sale of the year, offering half a million fares for just $49.
In an effort the airline hopes will inspire Australians to ‘swap work meetings for holidays’, hundreds of thousands of domestic and international seats are now on sale for travel between January 29 and the end of November.
The cheapest flight is one-way in Economy Lite from Sydney to Ballina (Byron Bay), which costs travelers just $49.
Internationally, return flights from Brisbane to Port Vila, Vanuatu start at $419; with flights from Sydney to Denpasar, Bali from $549.
Virgin Australia said the sale was aimed at Aussies needing a ‘break after the holidays’.
The sale runs until 11:59 PM on January 22 and all sale rates include frequent flyer points and status credits.
