Viral Trader Joe’s item makes comeback with people lining up around the block – but hurry before they sell out
Shoppers were in a frenzy today after Trader Joe’s re-released their famous $3 mini bags.
The tiny bags that became instantly famous on TikTok are available for the second time this year at Trader Joe’s.
Since then, chaos has occurred at more than one Trader Joe’s store, and a TikTok user named Emily even made a video Customers gathered around one of the supermarket’s New York locations on Wednesday.
Due to high demand, these mini bags are likely to sell out quickly. In fact, it’s possible that the bags have already sold out at several Trader Joe’s stores.
Customers who were unable to secure a bag this time around can now purchase them at physical stores where the highly sought-after items are resold, but they will have to spend up to $500 per bag.

The supermarket chain announced the return of its colorful mini bags earlier this month.
Just like in February and March, the bags are available in four colours: red, yellow, navy blue, yellow and dark green.
According to the Trader Joe’s website, the mini bags are approximately 13 inches long, 11 inches high, and 6 inches wide.
The company noted that it’s also “ideal for smaller grocery trips,” claiming it can hold 12 Trader Joe’s apples.
All Trader Joe’s locations released the bags today, and the sale is reportedly a huge success in the US and Japan.
According to Reddit users, there were also lines at three Trader Joe’s locations in California.

Trader Joe’s first released its famous mini bags in February.
The bags with their simple design went viral on social media in March, with videos of long lines spreading across the internet.
The supermarket chain had expected sales to be good before the bag hit the market, but the company had not expected demand to increase so much.
‘Hundreds of thousands of bags came in and went out within a week,’ Insider Trader Joe’s podcast host Matt Sloan said in an episode earlier this year.
“We had no idea it would be so exciting, so fast, for so many customers.”
Nakia Rohde, a spokesperson for Trader Joe’s, confirmed in a statement that the bags sold out faster than expected.
She also noted that the sale occurred before the company “had a chance to promote them in any way.”
When sellers began listing the bags for inflated prices on eBay and Facebook Marketplace, Trader Joe’s voiced its disapproval.
“This is done without our approval or authorization and is outside the control of our quality-conscious supply chain,” the statement said.
“To be clear, we do not tolerate or support the resale of our products and are committed to stopping this practice.”

Several social media users on TikTok and Reddit were shocked by the long lines and sold-out tickets, with several calling the hype “insane.”
“I live in this area and come here every week but this never happens,” one TikToker wrote.
“The tote bags are coming out today, it’s not a normal shopping day lmao,” another TikTok user commented.
“I feel like I would have asked my parents this when I was 12. I can’t imagine standing in line for a cheap bag as an adult,” one Reddit user wrote.
Another Redditor said: ‘Because social media makes everyone think they all have to have these little bags/coolers/water bottles and then you have a bunch of people buying a bunch of them to resell. It’s absurd.’
