Viral ring girl Sydney Thomas celebrates reaching huge TikTok milestone with ‘get to know me’ video

Sydney Thomas recently gained 1 million followers on TikTok after going viral for being one of the ring girls at the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight on Netflix less than two weeks ago.

Thomas has parlayed her 15 minutes of fame at the boxing event into a huge social media following.

Now Thomas, who turns 21 on Tuesday, has posted a “get to know me” video to share details about her life that don’t involve holding up ring cards. She begins by saying, “There is more to me than what meets the eye.”

Thomas grew up in Midwestern St. Louis before heading to Alabama to study management and entrepreneurship.

She is only a junior, but Thomas said she will graduate in August. She also takes all her classes online to have more flexibility and time to travel for work commitments.

“Contrary to popular belief or belief, I am actually smart,” Thomas said. ‘People kind of get the image: quite blonde, without brains. But I got a 33 on my ACT (test) in high school and I dropped out of college, so take it as you will.”

In addition to her newfound success as a ring girl, Thomas is involved in modeling and has a job with her hometown St. Louis Cardinals as part of the hype crew at the team’s stadium.

In her free time, Thomas mainly focuses on herself.

‘I’m very athletic. “I love health, wellness, fitness and anything that has to do with bettering yourself physically, mentally and emotionally, I’m all for it,” Thomas added. ‘I’m very driven by self-improvement and just becoming the best version of yourself.’

What’s next for Thomas is unclear, as she noted that the last two weeks of her life have given her unprecedented attention.

‘So much in my life has been turned upside down in the past two weeks. My path is so different and so unique that I take it every day. I’m not so worried about the future.’
