Viral image of JD Vance allegedly dressed as a woman in a blonde wig for Halloween from his Yale Law School days surfaces online

A photo of JD Vance dressed as a woman and wearing a blonde wig while a student at Yale Law School has gone viral online after it surfaced on X last night.

The X account that posted the viral photo claimed that the photo, which shows a cross-dressing man wearing a blonde wig, black top and patterned skirt, is of the candidate running for senator and vice president.

While it has not been confirmed whether the viral photo is of Vance, The daily beast reported that the photo was reportedly taken by a classmate of Vance’s in 2012, while he was a law student at Yale Law School.

The photo was then sent to ‘A Bit Fruity’ podcast host Matt Bernstein, who posted it to the social platform.

“New: I got my hands on a photo of JD Vance in drag when he was a law student at Yale,” the post read.

According to The Daily Beast, a spokesperson for Vance did not deny the authenticity of the image when contacted by the publication and did not provide further comment.

The image quickly started trending on Sunday evening under the hashtag #SofaLoren, a reference to Italian film star Sofia Loren.

By Monday morning, the image had already been viewed 9.5 million times.

MailOnline has contacted Vance’s team for comment.

This comes after online sleuths claimed last week that vice presidential candidate Donald Trump was fond of wearing eyeliner, accusing him of applying a thin line of black makeup to make his eyes appear bluer.

Several photos have been shared online that prove that Vance is a fan of eyeliner, a technique mainly worn by women.

Photojournalist Zach Roberts claimed to have definitive proof, writing, “I honestly thought people were joking about this but then I photographed him last week. Vance is 100% wearing eyeliner.”

Vance was also accused last month of having sex with a couch after online jokers claimed he had described in detail in his book Hillbilly Elegy how he tried to have sex with a latex glove stuck between two couch cushions.

The rumor is false, but it has nevertheless unsettled certain sections of the political class.
