Vinicius Jnr’s red card against Valencia is WITHDRAWN and the Mestalla stand to be closed for five matches, with the club fined £40,000 as Spain’s FA FINALLY takes action against vile racist abuse of Real Madrid star
- Vinicius Junior’s red card against Valencia has been withdrawn by the Spanish Football Federation
- The Mestalla Stand is ordered to close for five games and the club is fined £40,000
- The Spanish Football Federation has finally taken action against disgusting racist abuse the star received from Real Madrid
Vinicius Junior’s red card has been withdrawn and Valencia has been punished after the sickening racist abuse the Real Madrid winger endured on Sunday.
The Brazilian star was the target of monkey chants at the Mestalla stadium before and during his club’s 1-0 defeat to Valencia – the 10th time this season alone that he has been the target of racist slurs.
And the Spanish FA announced on Tuesday evening that the red card he received later that game has been scrapped.
They added that the offending Mario Kempes stand must be closed for five games and that Valencia have been fined £40,000 for their fans’ behaviour.
The decision comes as RFEF, the governing body of Spanish football, finally takes action against the vile abuse directed at Vinicius Jnr.
