Vince McMahon wrote storyline about impregnating his own daughter before nixing WWE script, new doc reveals

Before his departure from the WWE, Vince McMahon oversaw every aspect of his professional wrestling empire, including writing and executing the storylines set within the squared circle.

While McMahon tried to push the boundaries of sports entertainment, some ideas were even too sick for the former company chairman who first resigned from WWE in July 2022 amid sexual assault allegations.

The recent Netflix documentary about McMahon, titled “Mr. McMahon,” revealed that he once pitched the idea for a storyline in which he impregnated his own daughter, Stephanie McMahon.

Stephanie was an active wrestler for the company in the late 1990s when McMahon pitched the idea and was a longtime director of the company until she resigned last year.

Vince’s son-in-law is 14-time World Champion Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, who is now WWE’s Chief Content Officer and handles day-to-day creative duties.

“So one of my storyline ideas was Stephanie gets pregnant, and I think I was the one who got her pregnant – my character,” Vince McMahon said in the documentary. “I think it was something like that and it was like, ‘No.’ He didn’t make it.’

“Yes, there were a few, but I’m not going to tell them,” Stephanie herself said on Netflix.

Levesque also confirmed the existence of the sick storylines, but also did not elaborate on what might have happened.

Stephanie and Triple H were an on-screen couple dating back to the late 1990s, when they were also an item off-camera.

During WWE’s own Vince McMahon documentary, released in 2006, Stephanie suggested the ideas of her becoming pregnant when a storyline had been pitched in the past.

Although she said Triple H would have been the likely father, she suggested other partners had been discussed, including Vince and her brother Shane McMahon, a former WWE executive and competitor.
