The sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon has taken another sordid turn, with the WWE founder now claiming his accuser wanted “rough sex” and thousands of dollars for “plastic surgery.”
Ex-WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in January, accusing the company’s former CEO and other executives of sex trafficking and emotional and physical abuse during her time at the wrestling promotion.
The 78-year-old billionaire hit back last month, denying the explosive charges leveled against him. He also alleged that Grant pursued their affair by sneaking into his penthouse apartment in the middle of the night to cheat on her fiancé, who lived in the same building.
The wrestling mogul said Grant was a willing participant in their sexual relationship for three years. His file also contains excerpts from an alleged love letter he received from the former employee.
Grant then filed a motion asking the court to throw out McMahon’s “seditious lies.”

“Rather than use his motion properly… McMahon is instead using the motion’s “Preliminary Statement” as a platform to launch vicious falsehoods that attack Janel’s moral character in a transparent attempt to harass her and to intimidate into submission,” the motion read.
“Even for Vince McMahon, the unsubstantiated, irrelevant and false statements in the Motion’s ‘Preliminary Statement’ – designed solely to harass and intimidate his longtime victim, Janel Grant – are a new low,” she added.
“Consistent with his past behavior, McMahon twists these truths to fit his own fictional narrative, much like the fantasy world of professional wrestling from which he came.”
But now, according to SESscoopsMcMahon has made several new allegations against Grant, including:

- ‘That she fantasized about being held down, enjoyed being in pain and wanted rough sex’
- ‘That she wanted the suspect to see her having sex with other people and to be aware of her sex with others’
- “That she wanted defendant to give her thousands of dollars for clothing, plastic surgery and other gifts.”
- ‘That she also wanted to have a future with the suspect after signing the agreement’
- ‘That she wanted the suspect to continue living in the same building, so that she could continue to see him, even after signing the agreement’
Grant worked at WWE headquarters in Stamford between June 2019 and March 2022
Grant had previously targeted “unsupported claims” – including that she was “absent” from the lives of her “dying parents” – and “falsehoods created by McMahon to intimidate Janel into submission – as he has done countless times before done.’
The motion continued: “McMahon’s lies are easily refuted. While Janel’s father was in hospice care at home during his final days, Janel continued to provide him with 24-hour care. At the same time, Janel had also cared for her blind, wheelchair-bound mother until her death.’
In a text message, supposedly between McMahon and Grant, he appears to instruct her to have sex with John Laurinaitis.
She added: ‘McMahon’s desperate attempt to divert attention from the legal content of the Motion highlights its weakness and the weakness of his overall case.”
One of Grant’s initial claims was that McMahon relieved her during a threesome and forcibly penetrated her with sex toys, which he named after his wrestlers.
She also alleged that McMahon and another WWE executive locked her in a room at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, in June 2021 and took turns sexually assaulting her during the workday.
McMahon denied the allegations, stating, “It is nonsensical that the disturbing alleged acts in the complaint, including violence, coercive sex, and forcing Plaintiff to defecate, occurred before Plaintiff returned without incident to her attorney fiance four floors below.”
The filing continued: “Plaintiff, in a love letter written to Defendant shortly before the parties ended their relationship, described Defendant as “[m]my best friend, my love and my everything,” praising him for being the “amazing, tender, vulnerable, heart-on-your-sleeve soul that you truly are.”
The 78-year-old said it was “incredulous” that Grant, “a then 42-year-old woman who claims on her resume to have a law degree from Pace University, would have written these words to the defendant months after all the events happened.” in the complaint alleging abuse, coercion and ‘sex trafficking’.
Last month it emerged that McMahon will end his fifty-year association with WWE by selling his remaining shares in TKO.
McMahon has worked for WWE since the 1960s, before eventually purchasing the company from his father and transforming it into a sports entertainment brand and the biggest name in professional wrestling – becoming a billionaire along the way.
