Wild moment furious shopper throws coffee all over $1,000 worth of items at Villains Clothing

The moment a disgruntled customer threw coffee over €1,000 worth of clothing at a boutique has been captured on video.

CCTV footage from Villains Clothing at Perth’s Westfield Carousel shows a woman with a child arguing with a store worker at the counter before storming off in anger and pouring coffee over a rack of clothes.

The store’s owner, Paul Clarke, told Daily Mail Australia the woman was furious after she was refused a refund for a $10 crop top.

“So we have a rack in the front of our store, it’s $10 and all the things that are there are $10 for a reason,” he said.

“So they’re either a little bit defective, or they’re all covered in makeup, and things like that.

‘Our employee said I’m sorry it’s not a refundable item, you can exchange it for something other than she wanted her money back.”

“She said the top was for her daughter, who is in the video.”

Ultimately, Mr Clarke attempted to resolve the complaint by telephone.

He claims the woman went on a tirade during their conversation.

“I couldn’t say a word, she swore at me and threw the phone back on the counter,” Mr Clarke said.

“Then she picked up the top and walked out, spilling the coffee all over the clothes.”

Mr Clarke said 16 items of clothing had coffee stains on them, prompting the owner to complain to police.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted WA Police for comment.

Villains uploaded footage of the incident to their TikTok and Instagram accounts.

The clips were flooded with thousands of commenters who were in disbelief at the woman’s behavior.

“I’m so sorry this happened, I hope all is well with the staff,” one person said.

“Disgusting,” someone else wrote.

“It’s so embarrassing when an adult acts like a child in front of her child,” a third added.

“This just reminded me why I quit working in retail. The poor workers.’
