Vikings receiver KJ Osborn was carted off the field on Sunday vs. the Falcons after taking a brutal blow to the head.

Osborn caught a pass over the middle of the field in the second quarter before being pinned by Atlanta defenders Jeff Okudah and Dee Alford, both of whom delivered helmet-to-helmet hits.

Okudah was assessed a 15-yard penalty during the play.

Osborn lay on the grass after the game as his concerned teammates signaled for medical attention.

Players surrounded the fourth-year pro, some kneeling in prayer.

Eventually he was able to get up and walk to the cart under his own power, and he gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he sat up in the back of the cart.

Osborn was hugged by fellow Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson before leaving the field.

He was soon ruled out for the remainder of the match due to concussion.

He had two catches for 17 yards before his day was over.

Earlier in the game, Vikings quarterback Jaren Hall also suffered a concussion.

In his first NFL start, Hall was injured trying to scramble to the end zone in the first quarter.

He was hit hard on the one-yard line by Okudah and linebacker Kaden Elliss, but was able to walk off the field under his own power.

Hall, a rookie out of BYU, was named the starter this week in place of Kirk Cousins, who tore his right Achilles tendon last Sunday.
