Vikings star Jordan Addison arrested on suspicion of DUI just a week after his rookie teammate dies in car wreck
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested late Friday night in LA on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to The daily news of Los Angeles on Sunday.
Citing the arrest report, the Daily News reported that Addison, 22, who played his final collegiate season at Southern California in 2022, was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was blocking the main freeway exit to Los Angeles International Airport, just after 11 p.m.
Half an hour later, California Highway Patrol officers arrested Addison after an investigation into drunk driving.
According to the report, he was released shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
“We are aware of the arrest of Jordan Addison on Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident,” the Vikings said in a statement to multiple media outlets.

After being selected 23rd overall in 2023, Addison threw 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, earning him a spot on the NFL All-Rookie Team.
Last July, before his debut season, Addison was ticketed in Minnesota for speeding and reckless driving, being caught doing 140 mph.
Eight days ago, Vikings rookie fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson was one of three people killed in a car crash in Maryland. He was 24.
Before his teammate’s death, Addison told fans not to underestimate Jackson’s talent. By betting on him, he made headlines in Minnesota.
When asked which player fans cannot ignore in the 2024-25 season, Addison told Metro Sport: “Khyree, the cornerback we just got. Don’t pass him up.”
