Viewers slam Today Show for sharing a meme that appears to mock Britney Spears on the breakfast television show’s Instagram page

The Today Show has drawn the ire of fans for sharing an Instagram post that appears to mock singer Britney Spears.

Originally posted by Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., both Britney’s supporters and Today viewers have accused Nine’s morning show of making the situation worse by reposting the same content.

The Today Show’s Instagram page shared the image with a before and after of 41-year-old Britney Spears.

One photo shows her when she was younger, the other shows a more recent photo of her dancing with knives.

The photo before was titled “America under Trump,” and the photo after was titled “America under Biden,” which Donald Trump Jr. added ‘yes’.

“Read the room… hate her or love her, this kind of bullying is not okay! I hope you don’t have daughters,” another fan added.

Other followers focused their anger on the first poster, Donald Trump Jr., with one person noting that it was “wrong on so many levels.”

‘So good that her ex called it out. You don’t talk about her even when you’re not together. That’s a good guy. However, Trump is showing us who he is again,” another follower wrote.
