It comes after Monique was branded a ‘Grinch’ after revealing that she ‘hates Christmas’.
The 49-year-old mother-of-three was speaking to David Koch on the Channel Seven show in November when the panel discussed Cliff Richard’s upcoming Christmas album, which he was quick to dismiss as “garbage”.
When a puzzled Kochie asked her if she had any feelings for the 81-year-old British singer’s festive song, she quickly replied: “Yes, I am very sorry.” I hate Christmas’.
Her co-host was quick to question how she can hate the holidays when she has ‘eight kids in her house’, to which she replied: ‘I enjoy that you enjoy it, but it’s just work!’
The Sunrise team seemed to find his reaction amusing, tweeting the edited clip with moments from the 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
“Monique ‘Grinch’ Wright didn’t hold back and told us what she REALLY thinks about Christmas,” they added in the caption.
