Video shows panicked Delta fliers fleeing small plane at Atlanta airport after massive jet smashed into its wing tip on runway
Footage from inside a Delta plane showed panicked passengers being pulled from the aircraft after it collided with another plane on the runway at America’s busiest airport.
The incident occurred Tuesday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, when a plane bound for Tokyo struck the back of a jet en route to Louisiana.
Images captured by KSHB 41 producer Nathan Pike Photos have now emerged showing passengers aboard the much smaller aircraft being escorted out of the jet by crew members following the terrifying incident.
The footage shows ground crew escorting the occupants to the platform as the camera pans to show the devastation caused by the incident.
Buses can also be seen waiting for the people who were in the car at the time of the crash.

Pike said in his video: “Our Delta flight was just hit by another plane on the taxiway in Atlanta.
“Our flight was full of journalists en route to our sister station in Lafayette, Louisiana, to help cover the hurricane.
“Delta put us on buses and put us in a private space in Atlanta Hartsfield.”
Although there were reportedly 277 passengers on board, no injuries were reported as a result of the disaster.
Jason Adams, a meteorologist with WTFS TV in Tampa, also said he was aboard the regional jet at the time of the impact.
“Well, that was quite a shock,” he wrote on X. “We were taxiing for the flight from Atlanta to Louisiana and it turned out that another plane had hit the back of our plane.
“Very jarring, metal scraping sounds and then loud bangs. We’re okay. No fire or smoke. Wait for instructions.”
Delta reported that the Airbus rammed the Lafayette-bound plane while it was on an adjacent runway, “damaging the tail of the regional jet and the wing of the A350.”

‘Following an incident earlier today at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Delta has worked with all passengers on flights DL295 to Tokyo-Haneda and DL5526 to Lafayette, Louisiana, to arrange accommodations on alternate aircraft scheduled to depart Tuesday afternoon.
We apologize to our customers for the experience. There have been no reported injuries to customers or crew and operations at Atlanta Airport are continuing as normal.
“In the meantime, Delta is working with the NTSB and other authorities as Delta TechOps teams prepare to safely move both aircraft to maintenance hangars.”
