Video of very crude joke that got new Nova Brisbane breakfast host Nikki Osborne ‘fired’ from TV role resurfaces

Nikki Osborne has been announced as the new addition to Nova’s 106.9 Brisbane breakfast team.

And the funnywoman, known for her controversial style of comedy, celebrated her new signing by resurfacing an old clip that claims she was ‘fired’ from Channel Nine.

“It’s an oldie but a goodie,” the new Nova breakfast star, 43, captioned the video shared to Instagram.

The footage featured the comic in a debate-style segment about rompers during an appearance on Channel Nine breakfast show Mornings.

Nikki was asked if she thought ‘grown women look weird in onesies’ as they discussed how ‘comfy pajamas’ would be sexier for partners.

“My husband says don’t look at the turkey while you’re stuffing it,” she joked, referring to whether wearing sexy lingerie in bed is attractive to your partner.

When host Sonia Kruger raised a hand to her face and stifled her laughter, David Campbell joked, “What does that even mean?”

“I won’t explain…” Osborne replied.

“But I think too many hipsters have been interviewed about this because I think most men prefer women in their lingerie to their Jimmy Jam or their onesies.”

‘I mean, let’s face it: onesies are a logistical nightmare if you’re trying to get into a jiggery pokery, because it’s like, “oh, give me five minutes.”‘

Campbell didn’t want to hear it anymore, telling Osborne, “After hearing what your husband says, I’m not even looking forward to Thanksgiving anymore,” while Kruger joked, “There goes that turkey sandwich I was going to eat for lunch.” .’

Osborne shared the ‘oldie but a goodie’ clip on her Instagram over the weekend, writing: ‘Gobble Gobble #fyp #controversy #turkeystuffing.’

Osbourne – who appeared on the 2020 season of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! – previously revealed that she lost her job at the network over the on-air segment.

‘Yes, I’m fired. Took three weeks,” she said in 2022.
