A new video has emerged in which President Biden says that a revised version of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal that his White House was negotiating is “dead” and claims that Iran has a nuclear weapon.
Biden met with Iranian supporters and activists during a campaign rally with Democratic Rep. Mike Levin in Oceanside, California, on November 4. As members of the crowd held up cell phones displaying the message ‘FREE IRAN,’ a woman asked the president: ‘President Biden, can you announce that JCPOA is dead? Can you announce that?
‘Did not tell him. ‘No why not?’ she asked.
‘Many reasons. He is dead, but we are not going to announce it,” Biden said.
The clip was obtained and posted on Twitter by Iranian activist Damon Maghsoudi.

Former President Trump withdrew the US from the Obama-negotiated Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018 before Biden officials began negotiations to revive the deal.
Those talks took a backseat over the summer, though US officials have said they want to reinstate the deal to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Biden in the clip seems to suggest that they already have one.
