Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan boasts about the huge crowd for the Boxing Day Test – and gets a DISGRACEFUL response
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has received a wave of shameful comments after she took to social media to celebrate a major milestone in Australian sporting history.
This year’s Boxing Day Test broke a record that has stood for 87 years, with 350,700 people flocking to the MCG to watch Australia pull off an enthralling victory against India to take a 2-1 lead in the Border-Gavaskar series.
It surpassed the total attendance of 350,534 who flocked to the iconic stadium to watch Don Bradman hit 270 runs against England in the 1937 Ashes Series.
Many have taken to social media to celebrate the huge milestone, with Victorian Premier Allen writing on X: ‘We have just broken the record for the largest Test cricket crowd in Australian sporting history.’
Unfortunately, the comments under her festive message were filled with many shameful messages.
One X user wrote: ‘Send all immigrants back.’
“Congratulations on the mass immigration that no one asked for,” said another.

But the comments on the post were filled with disgusting comments. Ny Breaking Australia has chosen not to publish them all
Allan, who took over as Victoria’s premier in 2023, also published a second message saying: ‘Shout out to all the Australian and India fans who made this possible’
There were several other messages in the comments of Allan’s post, but Ny Breaking Australia chose not to publish them.
The record at the MCG was broken after an incredible 74,362 passed through the turnstiles on Monday to watch Pat Cummins’ side complete a thrilling final day victory.
India had set a target of 340 runs in 92 overs after Australia posted a score of 234 in their second innings.
Rohit Sharma’s side stepped up to the crease but faltered under the pressure from the Australian bowlers, with the Indian captain, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli all falling for 33 runs on the final day.
Yashasvi Jaiswal backed up his score of 82 in the first innings with a run of 84 before being controversially dismissed. An Australian DRS review appeared to show the opener had hit a Cummins ball to Alex Carey, but snicko showed no peak after the ball passed his bat and glove.
The third umpire overturned the on-field decision not to go out, citing the significant deviation in the ball’s flight, leaving many Indian fans outraged, including Indian Cricket Board vice-president Rajeev Shukla.
‘Yashasvi Jaiswal was clearly not out. The third referee should have taken note of what the technology suggested. While overruling the third referee should have valid reasons,” he wrote on X.
However, some felt it was a clear decision, including former Australian captain Ricky Ponting.

Australia took a 2-1 lead in the Border Gavaskar series on Monday after beating India by 184 runs
“They can make of it what they want, that was clearly a bull’s eye,” Ponting said.
“I called it at the time, Jaiswal started walking, as soon as the Aussies went up he started taking a few steps further.
‘Snicko didn’t prove it was right, but the referee picked up the deflection, froze it where the ball was at the end of the glove and as far as I’m concerned there was no argument whatsoever.’
Rohit Sharma also spoke out on the issue and admitted that it looked like he had hit Jaiswal’s glove on the way to Carey.
“I don’t know what to think about that because the technology didn’t show anything, but to the naked eye it looked like he was touching something,” the Indian cricket captain said.
However, he questioned the use of the assessment technology.
“I don’t know how the referees want to use the technology, but honestly I think he touched the ball,” Sharma added.
Despite this, the match went ahead, with India at 140-7, but just five overs later another controversial incident occurred after Akash Deep mistimed a shot off Travis Head at silly midwicket.

There was controversy surrounding Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dismissal after the third umpire overturned an ‘on-field not out’ decision
There was initial doubt over whether Deep had hit Scott Boland’s delivery with his bat, with Cummins’ side opting to review the initial decision not to go out.
This time snicko peaked as the ball went over the bat, with the third umpire again overturning the call on the field.
From there, Scott Boland completed his hat-trick for the day by dismissing Jasprit Bumrah, before Nathan Lyon set up Mohammed Siraj to end the match.
It leaves Australia 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar series, with both teams eyeing a quick three-day turnaround.
However, there are some doubts about some members of the squad, with concerns over the fitness of Mitchell Starc, who winced during the warm-up at the start of each period.
“We’ll see how everyone recovers tomorrow,” Australian coach Andrew McDonald said. “Obviously bowling last was a pretty exhausting sport, something we haven’t been used to in recent years.
‘We’ll see how the bodies fare. Clearly, “Starcy” bears some description. We will assess that. But other than that, it seems like we came through relatively unscathed.
“A quick turnaround, recovery is important and we will assess what the team looks like in Sydney based on the surface, as we always do.
“Every time you complete the game, it’s always a good indication that you have a chance in the next game. It didn’t stop (Starc). Obviously there was some discomfort at first, but once he got warm he seemed like he was pretty free.”
