Victoria and David Beckham’s iconic ‘working class’ moment from their Netflix documentary could earn them a TV BAFTA
An iconic moment from the Netflix Beckham documentary has been nominated for a TV BAFTA, according to reports.
In the series, released last October, David, 48, and Victoria, 49, gave an intimate insight into their marriage and early romance, their family life, and charted David’s football career.
One particular moment went viral after its release – when Victoria said she came from a working-class family, before David pointed out that her father actually drove her to school in a Rolls-Royce.
The hilarious scene spawned a host of memes and became a talking point from the hit series.
Now it has been nominated alongside five other entries in the ‘Memorable Moments’ category at the TV Baftas.

The moment will take place towards the end of Happy Valley, the arrival of Ncuti Gatwa in Doctor Who, Logan Roy’s death in Succession, teenager Lucy’s appearance in Channel 4’s The Piano and Bill and Frank’s story in zombie drama The Last of Us.
A TV insider said this The sun: ‘Posh and Becks’ documentary Beckham is up against some stiff competition, but judging by the number of viewers who watched the show on Netflix, it could well triumph thanks to people power.
“And the fact that they are in such esteemed company among incredible nominees shows what a big impact it has made.
‘There were some incredible TV moments in 2023, but the Beckhams can count on the fans to support them in the vote. It is the only category where the public can have its say.’
Following the success of that moment, the pair were featured in an Uber Eats advert in which Victoria wore a T-shirt that said ‘My Dad Had a Rolls-Royce’ on it.
In a clip about growing up, Victoria said: “We both come from families that work very hard, we are working class.”
When David heard the interview from another room, he poked his head around the corner and said, “Be honest!” before an excited Victoria replied: “I’m honest!”
David then asked her, “What car did your father take you to school in?”

She then said: ‘It depends, but yes, in the 80s my father had a Rolls Royce!’ – before David replied ‘thanks’ and then left.
It comes after Victoria showed off her underwear in a sheer white dress earlier on Wednesday as she posed with her crutches for a racy Instagram photo.

The mother of four has stayed active at the gym and at work despite breaking her foot following a gym injury last month.

The former Spice Girl is not letting her broken foot get in the way of her fitness as she has continued her regular workouts.
Victoria recently became a bit frustrated with her foot brace as she said: ‘I’m tired of you now’.
Earlier this week, Victoria slipped into a black crop top and high-waisted leggings in the sizzling mirror selfie.
Victoria also shared the crucial routine she does to rest and recover – with a glass of red wine and red light therapy.
The post comes after David wore Victoria to her Paris Fashion Week last week when she struggled to walk on her crutches.
Former footballer David said he was ‘so proud’ of Victoria after she failed to let her injury or protesters spoil her big night.
He wrote: “So proud of you for many reasons, but this season has thrown a lot at you and once again you just did what you do best. we love you @victoriabeckham’.

She wrote: ‘Support me always (literally) I love you so much x Kisses x’.
The family was also joined by Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, but the couple’s middle son, Romeo, 21, was noticeably absent in the aftermath of his death. divorced from girlfriend Mia Regan.
