Three men – one of whom was wearing an FBI T-shirt – were arrested Tuesday morning following an alleged armed crime spree in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

Two of them were reportedly armed with a machete when they allegedly robbed two businesses in Werribee, 20 miles southwest of Melbourne’s CBD, police said.

They entered a business in Watton Street, Werribee just after 9am and reportedly demanded cash, which was handed over.

A short time later, the same offenders attended a business on Cottrell Street and a man is said to have entered the shop armed with the machete.

Cash and alcohol were allegedly stolen.

Three men – one of whom was wearing an FBI T-shirt (pictured) – were arrested Tuesday morning following an alleged armed crime in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

They then fled the area in a reportedly stolen gray Hyundai hatchback, leading to a police chase.

The car was chased by Werribee and stopped on the Princes Freeway near Duncans Road.

The alleged offenders then lost control of the car and crashed into a pole on Ascot Vale Road in Moonee Ponds just before 10:30 am.

Two teenage boys and a 20-year-old man were arrested.

One of the alleged perpetrators has been taken to hospital and the other two have been taken into custody.
