Victoria Beckham laughs at David’s infamous slip in the Lionel Messi Inter Miami presentation: ‘He’s not a natural on the catwalk!’

Victoria Beckham has taken to Instagram to troll her husband David after he almost slipped up at the presentation of Lionel Messi who was set to join his Inter Miami MLS squad.

Messi’s reveal was delayed by a torrential downpour in Miami and when things finally got going, Beckham almost slipped as he walked onto a platform towards the center of the football field.

While he managed to avoid the embarrassment of falling over, it didn’t go unnoticed on the night itself or by his wife on social media.

She shared the video of the moment itself with the hilarious caption, “He’s not a natural on the catwalk.”

Beckham himself, meanwhile, also saw the funny side and shared the video on his own Instagram story. He wrote ‘I mean’ with a crying with laughter emoji.

But luckily for Beckham, everything else with Messi went according to plan that night

Fortunately for Beckham, he stayed on his feet and was unfazed by a huge night for his Miami team and for Major League Soccer itself.

Messi, regarded by many as the greatest footballer ever, is likely to make his Miami debut on Friday night against Cruz Azul in the newly formed Leagues Cup.

He is expected to participate in an open training session with his new Miami teammates on Tuesday.

During the ceremony itself, Messi thanked Beckham for his part in bringing him to Miami.

Messi told his new fans: “Thank you very much. First of all I want to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome, this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love you have given me. This happened so fast.

“I’m very happy to be here, to be with you. I would like to thank Jose (Mas, co-owner of Miami), David (Beckham) for the welcome.

‘They make it easy for us, everything has been spectacular since we arrived. I really want to train and race. I want to win so that the club can continue to grow.

“I hope you join us as you have since the start of the season. I thank my new colleagues for the welcome.

‘I am very happy that I chose this city with my family, for this project. I have no doubt we’re going to have a good time. Thank you all very much for this day.’
