Victoria Beckham flashes a rare smile as she heads home from swanky lunch date – but hungry husband David has to stock up on takeaway sandwiches after dainty Michelin star meal

She is known for her strict diet of grilled fish, vegetables and coconut water.

Still, Victoria Beckham treated herself to dinner on Thursday as she dined at the chic Dorian restaurant in London’s Notting Hill.

The Spice Girls star, 49, looked in good spirits as she left the Michelin-starred restaurant with a rare smile.

The mother-of-four looked effortlessly chic for the outing, modeling an £1,800 leather jacket from her own clothing collection.

She paired the piece with flared trousers that reached over a pair of stilettos and accessorized with a black handbag and sunglasses.

Victoria was seen walking out of the restaurant on her own, while husband David still seemed to be feeling quite hungry.

The former footballer, 48, couldn’t resist popping into the Secret Sandwich Shop next door and stocking up on some tasty treats to take home to their Holland Park abode.

He dressed casually for the outing, pairing a plain white T-shirt with his assorted colors and gray pants.

Although the couple are currently believed to be staying at their London property, it appears their Cotswolds home is about to be disrupted after a neighbor was granted planning permission to build a house on land next to that of them.

The builders have three years to build the property, which has a swimming pool and tennis court.

A local told The Sun: David and Victoria’s home is quite remote, and they have been enjoying the sweet silence of the countryside for some time now.

‘But their peace and quiet will soon be tinged by the hum of heavy machinery.

‘They have done quite a bit of work themselves over the years, but now the roles have been reversed.’

MailOnline has contacted Beckhams’ representative for comment.

Victoria and David recently lifted the lid on their initial attraction to each other in the Beckham Netflix documentary.

The pair met at a charity football match in 1997 and melted viewers’ hearts as they gave an insight into that first meeting and what they thought of each other.

As she sat on the sofa, she showed her relaxed side and said: ‘The fact that I went to the Games was basically to – some might say I was stalking him, I would say see him.’

Victoria admitted that when she saw David at the bar in the Manchester United players’ lounge after a match, he caught her attention because he was with his parents and was clearly a family man.

She said: ‘When I saw him in the footballers’ lounge, all the other footballers were sitting at the bar, and he was standing talking to his parents, and I’m very close to my family, and I loved that side of him.’

Giving his side of the story, David simply said of their first meeting, “I just liked her.”

While Victoria said: ‘I just liked him, it was that simple.’

It turned out to be love at first sight for the couple, who tied the knot just two years later in 1999 in a castle outside Dublin.

Excited: David grinned widely as he ordered his sandwich

Low-key look: He dressed casually for the outing, pairing a plain white T-shirt with his different ink colors with gray pants

Good thing to do: David made sure he carefully loaded his sandwiches into the car before leaving

They now share four children — sons Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12 — and are as loved as ever after 24 years of marriage.

Their romance wasn’t always smooth sailing, however, as David’s mum Sandra revealed she feared her son would ‘lose everything’ when he started dating Victoria.

Sandra confessed she was worried David would get sidetracked from his career at Manchester United when Spice Girl Victoria arrived on the scene.

She said: ‘We were worried he would lose everything he worked for because football had always come first and suddenly that wasn’t the case anymore.’

David and Victoria became a brand, winning lucrative contracts with clothing designers, health and fitness specialists, fashion magazines and perfume and cosmetics manufacturers.

But at the start of her relationship with David, Victoria admitted that her then-manager told her to “keep it a secret”, explaining: “We met in car parks and that’s not as shady as it sounds.”

And David appears to have a conflicting opinion towards his former Man United manager Alex Ferguson, as he said of how his fame was quickly catapulted due to interest in his relationship with Victoria: ‘It hasn’t changed me at all.’

Still, Alex, 81, insisted: “Well, he’s changed. There’s no doubt about that.’
