‘Victoria Beckham called me at a party and said “Find David” – he was in a bedroom with a model,’ says Rebecca Loos as she gives her verdict on his new Netflix documentary

For Rebecca Loos it was a party to remember. But for the wrong reasons.
It was September 22, 2003, and Rebecca and her colleagues were giddy with excitement when they arrived at the home of Brazilian striker Ronaldo in an exclusive neighborhood in the north of Madrid.
His birthday parties were lavish, legendary, and this was no exception. “There was delicious food, a samba band from Brazil and champagne flowing,” Rebecca remembers.
At the time, she was in the middle of an affair with Ronaldo’s Real Madrid colleague David Beckham, but to her dismay she found him ‘hiding at the bottom of the garden’ while she chatted to a beautiful Spanish model.

Rebecca Loos, pictured, said Victoria Beckham tried to reach David but he didn’t answer his phone
“That hurt,” recalls Rebecca, Beckham’s former personal assistant. However, her night was about to take an even worse turn. Her cell phone rang. It was Victoria Beckham who was looking for her husband.
“She’s angry because she calls David and he doesn’t answer,” she says. “I said I didn’t know where he was… And she says, ‘Don’t hang up, go look for him.’
I was like, ‘Okay…’ ‘So it’s a bit tricky. I went into the house and up the stairs and I saw David’s two bodyguards outside a door.”
With a thunderous look, Beckham spoke softly to his wife and gave Rebecca her phone back. Pictured are David and Victoria Beckham together in London, April 2004.
She describes whispering, “It’s Victoria!”, and miming while holding a phone.
“He (one of the bodyguards) disappears,” she adds. “When he comes back, David will be with him. I see the model in the background lying on the bed. I see it’s a bedroom. I was furious and just looked at him, handed him the phone and said, “Your wife.”
With a thunderous look, Beckham spoke softly to his wife and gave Rebecca her phone back.
“I was so hurt,” she remembers. ‘It was just a terrible feeling and I thought to myself, ‘You stupid fool.’
“But he had me, he had his claws in me, and I was at his beck and call.”
