Victor Wembanyama’s jersey from his NBA debut sold at auction on Tuesday for a whopping $762,000, more than six times what was expected.

The Spurs rookie scored 15 points against the Mavericks on October 25 as his team lost 126-119.

And one lucky bidder scooped up the piece of history, paying a high six figures to buy Wembanyama’s white, silver and black number 1 jersey from the competition.

It was estimated in advance that the jersey would cost $100,000, although that figure was comfortably blown away when 62 bids were placed.

The auction, held by Sotheby’s, sold a total of $1.2 million and purchased more than 60 game-worn NBA jerseys.
