Presumed No. 1 overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama helped his team to victory in the semifinals of the LNB Pro A over his former team ASVEL on Sunday.

The 7-foot-4 phenom grabbed 15 points, eight rebounds, two assists, five blocks and a steam burst in the Metropolitans 92 71-69 victory.

Wembanyama used to play for ASVEL, a team currently coached by Basketball Hall-of-Fame tied Tony Parker.

Parker and Wembanyama are about to have more in common than a motherland and a bond with ASVEL – as the French youngster is likely headed to Parker’s former team, the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio won the NBA draft lottery last month, giving them the number one overall pick and first chance to select Wembanyama.

Mets 92 now face Monaco in Finals led by former NBA first-rounder Donatas Motiejunas

Wembanyama did not lead his team in points this game, as that honor went to former Kansas State star guard Barry Brown Jr, who grabbed 18 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Metropolitans 92 now advance to the championship series – a best-of-five matchup against AS Monaco Basket.

Monaco is led by former first-round draft pick Donatas Motiejūnas, who was selected 20th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2011.

This Monaco team already won the French basketball cup from ASVEL earlier this season and wants to score double here with a national title.
