The retrieval is part of the egg-freezing process and is an ultrasound-guided procedure that usually takes 20-30 minutes, with the patient placed under anesthesia.

The reality star revealed that she had some negativity while sharing her egg freezing journey and admitted it got her down.

She explained that the trolling “stopped” her from sharing everything and assured she felt better now, writing, “I guess that must be my hormones wreaking havoc.”

Sharing some photos, the first showed her decked out in the hospital gown, ready for the procedure.

While she was then seen recovering with fiancé Ercan Ramadan present to comfort her.

By getting candid with her body and sharing a natural break in her underwear, Vicky showed a mix of highs and lows.

She wrote a lengthy caption explaining the process and recovery while explaining how she is doing in general.

The star began: the operation itself is quite simple – I was put to sleep, and when I woke up, I received the good news that 10 eggs had been collected.

“During each stage of the retrieval process, you can expect that number to decrease – so just for some perspective – I went in there with 12 follicles ready to be drained and the prospect of 12 eggs. Of course there were 10 in the end and we found out later that 9 of them were adults. A result that we are very happy with. There are more stages our eggs have to go through and we just hope our luck continues with the blastocyst process ♥️’

FREEZING YOUR EGGS: THE FACTS

Freezing eggs means going through the IVF process, which typically takes two to three weeks.

This includes taking medications to stimulate egg production and also help the eggs mature.

Once the eggs are ready, women are placed under general anesthesia while they are collected – usually about 15 eggs, although this is not always possible for women with lower reserves.

A freezing solution is then added to the eggs to protect them, then they are frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen tanks.

When the woman is ready to use the eggs, they are thawed and those that remain intact are injected with sperm.

But heading into the recovery phase, it wasn’t a walk in the park for the former Geordie Shore star.

She continued: “I’ve found the recovery more difficult and I dare say it’s been more painful than I expected – I know it’s different for everyone – but that’s just my experience. So even though we feel super blessed and very proud of our eggies, the past few days have been quite challenging. But I went back to work today, I feel more like myself and I’m super positive, but also a little annoyed that I let some mean-spirited idiotic trolls stop me from sharing my journey with you. week.. I think that must have been my hormones that messed up my emotions making me think I was a weak asshole.

“But like I said, I feel a lot more like myself now and am happy to update you on what you’ve been missing! And for anyone who isn’t interested/don’t care/disagree with my decision… Keep scrolling, you don’t have to leave a weird comment. It’s unnecessary, mean, and just makes everyone think you’re a bit of an asshole.

Vicky recently explained that she doesn’t feel ready to have a child with her fiancé Ercan, 29, and believes that by freezing both her embryos and her eggs, she is “relieving herself of the pressure.”

“I was just freezing my eggs, but freezing embryos has a better success rate, so I do both,” she tells New! Magazine.

“I’m 35, but I don’t want a child right now. I am not done. No one is ready, Ercan and I have been dating for four years and he’s 29. The last thing I want is to force him into a situation where he doesn’t trust or isn’t ready and then gets angry.’

Vicky adds that because of her struggle to find the perfect wedding venue with the ‘wow factor’, they might have a baby before they get married.

“The marriage process was more challenging than I expected. We may not get married first, it may be the year after, because I don’t have to be married to have a baby. Everything will happen when it has to.’
