Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter Briana Culberson denies using Ozempic for weight loss after photo sparked ‘ridiculous chatter’: ‘That goes against everything we stand for’

Vicki Gunvalson's daughter Briana Culberson has denied using Ozempic after a photo sparked “ridiculous talk” that she had used the controversial drug to achieve her weight loss.

Culberson, who has lost 45 pounds on the keto diet, shut down the speculation on her Instagram account last month, insisting the drug was “against everything we stand for.”

“There's a ridiculous amount of chatter circulating on the interwebs today in response to a photo of us that I shared earlier today. Some people have started the rumor that we are on ozempic,” Culberson, 36, wrote on Instagram.

'First of all, hilarious. Secondly, I would NEVER do that. That goes against everything we stand for and everything we do for our health and well-being.

'I have been terribly ill for too many years of my life. Too many years of not having any respect for my health. We had no rules regarding food or alcohol, it was free for whatever we wanted at the time. I was on a long list of medications, hospitalized OFTEN, sick, fat and miserable.

'Over the past four years we have made many lifestyle changes for our overall health and wellbeing. Clean eating, a clean lifestyle, daily exercise, daily choices, emotional healing, and targeted high-quality supplements and essential oils have completely changed our lives inside and out.

'What is more important to me are the changes from within. My lupus is in remission, not detectable in labs or symptoms. I am off all medications (with the exception of my thyroid replacement for my thyroidectomy). My health has not been this good in over twenty years.

'There is no magic pill or easy solution. It's a lot of small daily choices and consistency that add up. I am a better mother, a better wife, a better friend and a better person now that my health and well-being are a priority. No gimmicks, no nasty medications, just staying consistent and intentional with my daily choices.

“You can take that ozempic drivel somewhere else because it's not here.”

Briana and her husband Ryan Culberson were accused of using the medication after her husband shared a photo of it during their Hawaiian vacation.

“Can someone say OZEMPIC,” someone commented.

Ryan addressed the troll directly, writing, “You must be new to me here, welcome! There is no shortcut: we are willing to change our lifestyle, are you?'

Briana rose to fame at a young age as the daughter of the real OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson, who starred on the Real Housewives of Orange County from its inception in 2006 through 2019, when she left the show for good.

Briana is known for having undergone multiple surgeries and serious complications with her Lupus diagnosis.

Her diagnosis of the autoimmune disease was revealed on RHOC in 2016.

In 2017, mum Vicki revealed that her daughter 'nearly died' during one operation due to a dirty scalpel.

Briana has also been open about her weight loss journey, revealing in 2019 that she lost 45 pounds thanks to the keto diet.

“The face on the left is on an average American diet, has never felt well, has ongoing lupus and has been on steroids for almost a year,” he began.

“The face on the right is strictly Keto, steroid free and lupus free! I've lost 50 lbs on keto so far, but most importantly my health has improved tremendously!'

In 2020, the couple revealed that they had lost a total of 150 pounds since starting the keto lifestyle.

Briana and her husband announced that they had lost a combined total of 150 pounds on the keto diet

“As a couple, we have lost 150 pounds since we started our keto journey in 2018. We want to share our meals in hopes of helping others simplify this lifestyle,” she wrote.

But in 2022, Briana revealed that she had stopped the eating plan after the birth of her fourth child, daughter Cora.

'Cora and I have a strict feeding schedule, because she arrived a little too early in a small package. Since there isn't much research on keto and breastfeeding, our doctors put me on a different eating plan until Cora grows bigger. I'm not worried about losing weight at all, I'm just worried about her weight,” she explained.

Briana married Ryan in 2011 and together they share four children: sons Troy, 11, Owen, nine, Hanks, two, and daughter Cora, one.
