Channel Seven news presenter Michael Usher has left The Latest as production moves from Sydney.

The veteran journalist, who has been the face of the show since its inception in 2018, will step down from his role in the programme.

The shift, which will take place in March, aims to streamline efficiencies across the network, a Seven spokesperson said.
