Very surprising figure with close MAGA ties announces she’s backing Kamala during DNC appearance

A surprise figure with close ties to MAGA was spotted at the DNC Monday night as she announced her support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Claudia Conway, 19, the daughter of Kellyanne Conway — Donald Trump’s former Senior Counselor — posed with her father George Conway at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

The duo grinned as Claudia wore a green ‘Kamala’ button on her shirt, while George proudly held one in his hand.

The teen posted photos of her and her father with the caption, “MAGA’s most hated.”

In a video of her view of the convention, Claudia said, “By the way, this crowd is not AI generated.”

The next day, Claudia posted a video with her mother and father. As they introduced themselves, their daughter said that the three of them were “just a happy bunch of troublemakers.”

George, 60, a lawyer and frequent critic of Trump, and Kellyanne, 57, divorced in 2023 after more than two decades together.

In the clip, Claudia asks George to talk about his time at the DNC on the first night, where he says he was “surprised by the crowd.”

‘I had been to other conferences before and the audience was really huge!

“I was really impressed with the enthusiasm,” he added, comparing it to previous Republican conventions he’d attended. “I thought they put on a pretty good show.”

Meanwhile, her mother, a Fox News contributor and the former president’s top adviser from 2017 to 2021, was also sharply critical of the DNC.

“I really felt bad for Joe Biden and I expected him to give a speech celebrating his 52-year career in Washington,” Kellyanne said.

Last night, Biden, 81, cried as he delivered one of his last major speeches as president.

He began by wiping away a tear as his daughter Ashley introduced him to thousands of supporters chanting “We love Joe” in the packed United Center.

“The guy didn’t jump off the ticket, he was pushed, everyone knows that,” Kellyanne added.

Biden acknowledged that he had made “a lot of mistakes” in his career. “But I did my best for you,” he said. “For 50 years, like many of you, I gave my heart and soul to the nation.”

The president stressed that he was not angry about his resignation, which came after a growing number of prominent Democrats demanded that he step down.

Claudia’s mother said she was not impressed with Democrat Hillary Clinton’s speech, but her daughter quickly interrupted her and disagreed.

“I disagree, I think Hillary gave a fantastic speech last night,” Claudia told her mother.

“Well, it was 20 minutes long and it was mostly about Donald Trump, but look, if you’re Hillary, you’ll never forget 2016,” Kellyanne replied.

Her mother then tried to return to a point Claudia had made the night before, but her daughter quickly interrupted her, saying, “I’ll speak for myself.”

As she did this, George laughed, while Kellyanne continued speaking.

Although her mother served as the former president’s top adviser from 2017 to 2021, Claudia has consistently expressed her distaste for Trump.

The former first lady called the Republican candidate misogynistic, racist, mean-spirited and petty in her powerful criticism that upstaged her ex-presidential husband Barack.

She said Kamala Harris is “my girl” and called on the Democratic Party to unite behind her after Obama’s inner circle was accused of forcing Joe Biden out of the race.

During a moment when she dropped the microphone to a wild response from the audience, she said of Trump, “Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s applying for right now might be one of those black jobs?”

The former first lady declared that “hope is returning” as she entered the arena after Harris was formally declared the Democratic presidential nominee and held a rally 90 miles (145 kilometers) away in Milwaukee.

During the second night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), former first lady Michelle Obama delivered a series of scathing insults to Trump to a frenzied audience.

But then she bombarded Trump with a barrage of personal attacks on a night when her husband appeared to make a crude hand gesture to mock Donald’s “weird obsession” with size.

Michelle was one of the last to take the stage, after Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff told the story of their blind date following an “unhappy divorce” from his first wife.

The Second Gentleman described the embarrassing voicemail he left for her when they were still dating, which Harris plays to him every birthday.

He said he knew his current wife would be a good fit for his blended family when his children from a previous marriage started calling her “Momala.”

Before his remarks, Emhoff embraced his son, Cole, onstage during the second night of the DNC. His daughter, Ella, was also in attendance.

On the first night she was heavily criticised for the ‘trashy’ outfit she wore to cheer on her stepmother.
