Vera Wang, 74, shows off her age-defying looks as she joins daughters Cecilia, 33, and Josephine, 30 for a festive family photo: ‘Me and my girls!’

World War II was still a recent memory after her birth in 1949, but Vera Wang proved the old adage that age is just a number when she posed for a Christmas photo on Tuesday.

The legendary fashion designer, now 74, joined daughters Cecilia, 33, and Josephine Becker, 30, for a group photo at the family home as they celebrated the holidays.

However, the more than 40-year age gap seemed indistinguishable as mother and daughters gathered in front of an impeccably set dining table in matching teal party dresses.

In the caption, Wang wrote, “Me and my girls..!!! So happy together.'

The day appeared to be a double celebration, with the American designer revealing it was also her younger brother Ken's 73rd birthday.

Befitting the occasion, Wang and her family enjoyed elegantly handmade cakes and Prosecco, poured from large personalized bottles bearing the family name.

The designer and her daughters each wore matching silk dresses from the Vera Wang Couture collection and jewelery from her own Love range, while glass and tableware were provided by Vera Wang Wedgwood.

Wang, who shocked fans last year when she showed off her toned physique and youthful complexion in a series of photos from her 73rd birthday party, recently admitted that her main concern is avoiding a physical disability.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com on the DKMS Gala at Cipriani Wall Street, she said: “I think what happens sometimes when you get older… I'm more afraid of physical disabilities… not all this.

'I'm not really concerned with how I look. I love my job, and I'm very passionate about my work, my friends, my daughters… I mean, I have a very full life.”

Wang, who previously revealed that avoiding the sun and drinking vodka was the secret to her youthful appearance, looked stunning as she flaunted her midriff in a black satin bralette top, matching maxi skirt and long gloves at Thursday night's star-studded event.

When asked if she has become more confident with age, Wang said, “I have dedicated my whole life to dressing women and styling women. From my years at Vogue magazine, where I was an editor for 17 years, to working for Ralph Lauren and designing for my own company, my entire life has been about empowering women.”

Wang quit his job at Ralph Lauren at the age of 40 and became an independent bridal wear designer, creating custom dresses for the likes of Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian.

When asked if she has plans to retire before her 75th birthday in June 2024, she said: I'm not sure yet. I'll be like Rafael Nadal…not for a while.”

The mother of two, who is reportedly worth around $650 million, previously stunned fans when she posted a series of photos of herself showing off her toned midriff and long legs in an orange sports bra and white shorts to showcase her own accessory designs to model. David's bridal bouquet.

And everyone begged to know her secret last summer, when, as she turned 73, she seemed to be getting younger rather than older.

“Damn girl, what's your timeless secret,” someone asked.

Someone else joked: 'Congratulations Vera. [You] growing younger and younger every year, no wonder women are like fine wine with age!'

Earlier this year, Wang claimed her ageless beauty comes from sipping vodka cocktails, getting nine hours of sleep a night, working and staying out of the sun.

“I'm known to enjoy a vodka cocktail,” she said People magazine. 'There's no doubt about that, I do. Sometime after five or six o'clock, around seven o'clock, I drink vodka.'

And while she noted that no one ever “believed” her, one of her top tips was also working out, with the designer insisting it keeps the “mind, body and soul” forever youthful.

Speak with Elle in an earlier interview, Wang noted that working has been her “lifeline” for as long as she could remember.

“Work has been my lifeline that has kept me feeling relevant and challenged over the years,” she explained.

'I think the mind is more powerful than you could ever understand. The challenges that work and life present are what keep us going.”
