He was a cosmic existential threat until he had his clock thoroughly cleaned by a young Thor, and the Symbiotes used his momentary weakness to rebel against their own god’s mind control, forming millions of their own bodies into a giant spherical prison — the Symbiote homeworld.
Knull was the dark, growing threat to Cates and Stegman’s race in 2018 Poisonuntil he really raised hell — he had a mean Symbiote Blade and an army of mind-controlled Symbiote Dragons and a real heavy metal album cover style. Marvel’s King in black crossover event sold like hotcakes and was big, stylish and fun, so it’s no wonder that Last Dance Writer and director Kelly Marcel expects a smashing finale for this bizarre superhero franchise.
