Singer and vegan Chloe Bailey has revealed she was left in tears after accidentally eating meat for the first time in a decade when a hotel ruined a burger order for her and her Little Mermaid star sister Halle.
The hitmaker and her sister, Halle Bailey, both decided to cut meat from their diets more than 10 years ago and have been open about their choice to practice veganism throughout the rise of their careers.
However, their avoidance of meat went off the rails over the weekend before they headed to see their mentor Beyoncé perform in Atlanta after their order was misplaced by the hotel staff.
Chloe took to TikTok to share the story with fans and began, “So I called to get a Beyond burger for sister and me as usual. Specified it’s vegan, no butter on the bun, nothing like that.’

The Have Mercy singer was in the shower when the burgers arrived and was immediately questioned by her younger sibling when she returned to the bedroom.
She continued, “She’s eating the burger and she’s like, ‘Are you sure this is Beyond?’ She took a few bites and said, “This is really good, are you sure it’s Beyond?”‘
Chloe emphasized that she ordered the vegan option: “I touched and smelled the patty and said, ‘Sure, it’s Beyond, yes.’
However, she quickly realized a mistake had been made as she continued, “So I get dressed, I take a bite and the juice dripping off the burger isn’t like a Beyond burger.” I just knew it wasn’t a fake burger.
“That one bite I took and I just knew. Immediately I said, “This doesn’t feel right.”‘
The Body Do hitmaker immediately called the hotel front desk to try and confirm if they had ordered the correct meal.
She recalled, “I said, ‘Ugh, these are vegan burgers, aren’t they?’ He said, “No, they are brand citizens”. I said, “Branded burgers? I said Beyond burgers. I don’t even know what a branded burger is.”
Naturally, the star was not happy to learn that such a costly mistake had been made, as she continued, “Immediately I lose my s***.” I gobbled up an entire can of Sprite.

The incident happened when Chloe and sister Halle went to a performance by their mentor Beyoncé in Atlanta on Aug. 12
“Halle laughs at me for crying. This is just before yesterday’s concert. I’m crying, Halle just laughing at me so loud because I’m going crazy.’
The singer complained that she had not eaten “red meat” for 10 years before the incident.
Her explanation was shared online and immediately sparked sympathy from fans and fellow vegans alike.
One fan commented, “If I put 10 years into something and someone’s mistake jeopardizes it, I’d be p***ed….”
Another wrote, “I’m a vegetarian and sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference, but you know the taste of real meat and that tummy ache is no joke.”
“Her crying about that is valid! If you don’t eat meat for 10 years it’s a self-actualization and she stands for something people who stand for nothing might see this as dramatic but you have to see it from her point of view (sic),” one person mused.

Halle, 23, previously explained that they ditched meat for an all-vegan diet after their mother decided to test the food choice
“If a person doesn’t drink liquor in 10 years and a waiter puts tequila in his drink, then they can’t b***, that’s her body.”
The Little Mermaid star Halle, 23, previously explained why she and Chloe dropped meat for an all-vegan diet when they were young.
Speaking to Complex in 2017, the Disney star said, “Being a vegan started with our mother. One day she said, ‘I’m going to try being a vegetarian for a week. You can join me if you want.’ We started the week with her and never went back.’
