Vanessa Hudgens says she knew within days Cole Tucker would be her ‘future husband’
Vanessa Hudgens lit up the Show today studio when asked how it felt to be engaged to baseball player Cole Tucker while promoting her Tubi documentary, Dead hot.
“It feels great,” the actress, wearing a skimpy black minidress and her long locks pulled up in a bun, told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
“It’s so funny, I was talking about this with Cole…People always say, ‘Does it feel different? [Do] things feel different [getting engaged]?”‘
The actress continued, “That was normally always my question, but now I get that question. And you know what, it works.’
The 34-year-old High School Musical alum further revealed that she has a new “sense of security.” now that she has found the love of her life.

“You feel so safe,” she said with a clear look of joy on her face, adding, “It’s the best thing ever.” I love being a fiancee.”
Hudgens also stumbled over to her when she knew Tucker was the one for her.
“I knew it,” she shared without hesitation. “After our first weekend together, I called my sister and said, ‘I think I just found my future husband.'”
At one point, the two co-hosts showed Hudgens a tweet Tucker posted in January 2012: “Looking for: a girl who wants to watch High School Musical with me and scratch my back.”
As all three ladies laughed, Hager suggested making a copy of the tweet and framing it, to which Hudgens interjected and joked, “And put it above the toilet.”
The pair first met at a Zoom meditation and yoga class during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Hudgens was so smitten she slipped into his DMs and started dating soon after.
They waited until February 14, 2021, Valentine’s Day, to go Instagram official with their romance.
Since then, the Princess Switch star has been taking to Instagram to show off with pride. of her new golf game, a passion of her fiancé.
The lovebirds announced their engagement on Feb. 9 alongside two photos: one picture showed Tucker hugging his lady from behind as she showed off her engagement ring, and the other picture was a close-up of her hand with her Diamond ring.
Tucker signed a one-year minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies in December 2022 and has played with a minor league affiliate of the team ever since.

Highly touted as a teenager, the Phoenix, Arizona native was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, and went on to sign a $1,800,000 signing bonus deal.
After honing his skills in the minor leagues, he finally realized his dream of becoming a big league player when he got the call to join the Pirates. on April 20, 2019.
He played in small parts of four seasons in Pittsburgh before moving to Colorado after the 2022 season.
So far, there’s no official word on when the happy couple will tie the knot; though it’s safe to say it probably happens during baseball season, which starts in early October for players who aren’t on a team that’s in the playoffs.
