Kristen Doute got engaged to her boyfriend Luke Broderick this week after a two-year romance.

The 41-year-old Vanderpump Rules star showed off her stunning diamond engagement ring after Broderick, 33, proposed on a yacht in Hawaii.

She captioned the photos: ‘I’m wrapped around your finger like this ring I wear. Of all the fish in the sea, you chose me.’

The photos showed Doute, dressed in a white crop top and skirt, visibly shaken as Broderick got down on one knee.

In a new snap, she showed off the elegant emerald-cut diamond ring.

In November 2023, Doute announced that she had suffered a miscarriage of Luke after six weeks of pregnancy.

In the November 26 episode of their Podcast about sex, love and what else matters Titled ‘We Had a Miscarriage,’ the Vanderpump Rules star and her partner opened up about their heartbreak after finding out she was pregnant on October 24.

It was the same day that her friend and former castmate Ariana Madix competed in Dancing with the Stars’ Most Memorable Year week.

Two days later, on the October 26 episode, the couple, who have officially been together since December 2022, revealed that they were “ready to try” for children on the podcast.

‘A few months ago Luke and I talked about being in a very committed relationship, I went to my gynecologist [in August] “And we’ve only had good news on that front,” Kristen told listeners.

About a month later, the 23 Minutes to Sunrise actress tearfully told her audience that she was pregnant and that it was the “best f**king day of her life.”

“I thought it was really special that you can find out you’re pregnant. You don’t really know how far along you are,” explains the author of He’s Making You Crazy.

“So for weeks and weeks and weeks later, you’re stuck in your body hoping that you can take care of this growing baby the best you can, with no idea what to do,” she said.

Kristen made an appointment with her doctor and scheduled an ultrasound to see how far along she was.

After a second ultrasound, the couple received good news: everything looked ‘exactly as it should’. But at the third ultrasound, they received the sad news that the pregnancy was no longer viable.

Doctors told the couple there was “no cause” for what had happened.

Kristen’s pregnancy developed into what is called a “blighted egg” – meaning the embryo did not develop or did not fully develop – making the pregnancy non-viable.

The Mayo Clinic reports that about 10 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, but that number may be higher because many pregnancies occur before the woman knows she is pregnant.

Kristen said she had “light bleeding” in the early days of her pregnancy.

“I only talk about it because I know a lot of my friends have been through this.”

“So many women have been through this and it’s really fucking scary,” she explained.

The expectant parents hoped that once they had processed their emotions, they would try again to expand their family.

“We were very lucky to get pregnant so quickly,” she said.
