Valerie Bertinelli got emotional in a video she shared on one of her social media pages on Sunday.
The One Day At A Time actress, 62, opened up about how she used to be ‘ruthlessly mocked’ for the sound her pants made when her thighs rubbed together as she walked.
I’m laughing because I had a small hidden bruise that was activated today. You can probably hear them because my pants are rubbing and it makes this particular sound,” she said as she walked down the street.
“I stopped using them because…they mercilessly mocked, you know, ‘I’m too lazy to do anything about it. They wouldn’t join if you…'” she continued.
The Hot In Cleveland star, who revealed she lost 10 pounds thanks to dry January, explained that “hidden bruises are something that emotional, verbal and mental abuse takes on you.”

She did not name the person who made fun of her and did not show fans what the pants looked like.
“People can’t see them, but we have to deal with them every day when they’re on. I am very grateful that the work that I am doing to heal is working, ”she admitted excitedly.
The Kids Baking Championship star admitted that the teasing she received led her to ‘put these pants away forever’ after trying to change the way she walked in them to remove the sound they made.
And now, all that is behind him and he feels free to wear the infamous pants once more.
‘Do you hear that sound? That is the sound of freedom to me,” she said with a smile.

“These jeans I’m wearing were so tight a few months ago that I couldn’t button them comfortably,” the Food Network star revealed. “Now, they’re so loose it’s time for me to go down a size.”
And weight loss is just one of the benefits of not drinking for Wolfgang Van Halen’s mother.
“I want to calm down the cortisol in my body that’s been running rampant for the last five or six years,” he said.
I’ve been in fight, flight, freeze, fawn mode. And I want to rest and digest, ”she said. “I think giving up alcohol will help me do that.”
