Utterly humiliated, Biden lectured us from the Oval Office about honesty – but the sick TRUTH is that he’s lied to the world… and we all know who’s really in charge now: MAUREEN CALLAHAN’s damning verdict

Once again, President Joe Biden has shown America that he is no longer fit to serve.

Not that you’d think so, given the glowing coverage of his all-too-short prime-time speech on Wednesday night, in which he slurred his language and audibly swallowed his way through the most momentous and historic speech of his political career.

“When you elected me … I promised to always be honest with you,” Biden said from the Oval Office. “To tell you the truth.”

The truth?

This is a president who has spent the last four years lying about his physical health and cognitive fitness.

A president who shocked the world with his performance in a debate with former President Donald Trump in June.

Once again, President Joe Biden has shown America that he is no longer fit to serve.

A president who had to be forced to resign—and when he finally did, he released a typed letter with a digital signature. It didn’t even have an official letterhead, or an accompanying photo or video.

Anyway, let’s let the sitting US President, a proven liar who was thrown out the door by Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi, give a sermon on honesty, democracy and the indispensable need for integrity.

A president who, as the Mail exclusively reported on Wednesday, had to be rushed back to Delaware last week on a supersonic Air Force One flight because he was seriously ill.

A president whose spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre insisted on Wednesday that Biden’s decision to withdraw “had nothing to do with his health” and that he “did not resign from the campaign or the candidacy because he did not believe he could serve a second term.”

Actually, that last part could technically be true. It’s everyone else who doesn’t believe he can do it.

Joe Biden got stabbed in the back last week by his own stubbornness. The wound is still raw, the stitches fresh and the American electorate is not falling for this cowboy-at-sunset act.

“Does character still matter in public life?” he asked.

I don’t know, Joe. Just tell us.

Please give America a lecture on “character” while the shameless Dr. Jill and Hunter sit off-camera in the Oval Office during this speech, no doubt mourning their fate as dissolute Delawareans with a bleak future.

Dr. Jill, who told Vogue after-debate for a cover interview that will have you ‘fighting on’! Hunter, convicted in one criminal case and facing another, inserting himself into his father’s high-level White House meetings!

And where was Kamala, Joe’s “incredible partner”?

Not in the White House.

No, Kamala has already started her campaign, trembling with joy at her incredible good fortune and smiling from ear to ear as her clearly deteriorating president endures this brutal humiliation.

She can’t even feign solemnity. She’s incapable of behaving with a shred of decency, of saying that of course she dreamed of a shot at the title, but that she never wanted to get the nomination this way.

No: Kamala is stoned on her own supply and running the show.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jill flies to the Olympic Games in Paris on Thursday, where she must suck the last vestiges of presidential glamour off her nipple, leaving her sick and grieving husband alone to cope with the loss.

Priorities!

Biden, 81, spoke of finally passing the torch, albeit one he had to pry from his and Jill’s lizard-like grips.

He spoke pedantically about the need for ‘new voices, fresher voices, younger voices’.

Cackling voices, if you will.

Hey, it’s better than the disjointed voices that degenerate into whispers and fall apart, like Biden did during this long farewell.

If he truly believed in honesty, integrity and character in presidential politics, he would have done the only decent thing: resigned.

“Nothing,” he said, “nothing, can stand in the way of saving our democracy.”

That goes for you too, Joe.
