A Utah boy got a surprise from community members who gathered after none of his friends or family showed up for his birthday party.

Rosario López posted a photo of her nine-year-old son Jaydenn to a local Facebook group on New Year’s Day, asking residents to send her son well wishes on his birthday.

The mother said she hoped the messages would let her son know that he is loved and cared for after the disappointing party.

However, the group did much more than wish the boy a happy birthday.

Jaydenn’s mom, Rosario Lopez, shared this photo of Jaydenn alone at her birthday party on Sunday.

The post, made to a group in Kearns Township, Utah, quickly racked up hundreds of likes and comments from residents who wanted to help.

Lopez said KUTV it was that post that inspired community members to reach out, asking for her address so they could send her gifts for her big day.

The mom said she had sent out the invitations early to the party and hoped there would be a few people, even if the party was on New Year’s Eve, Jaydenn’s birthday.

In reality, no relatives or friends came to the party.

A photo of the nine-year-old showed the boy sitting alone at a table in front of decorations with a cake.

“She cried a little bit saying I guess I’m just going to have to get used to this,” Jaydenn’s mother, Rosario Lopez, said.

Jaydenn and her mom spoke to KUTV in Nevada and told them about the random act of kindness from strangers.

The post received hundreds of comments and likes from community members.

Lopez said it hurt to see him so upset.

‘Obviously, as a mother, it breaks your heart. You try to do what you can for them; run that extra mile. So I went on Facebook and posted what happened,” the mother told KUTV.

In total, the post received more than 580 likes from members of the group.

Some reached out and asked for her address and began sending the family food via DoorDash and gifts via Venmo.

After the community came together, Jaydenn’s mom took this photo of her son with gifts from his neighbors.

These are just a few of the gifts members of the community gave Jayden.

Lopez said she ended up receiving food, clothing, toys and other goodies, all thanks to the kindness of strangers.

‘To be honest, I cried. I didn’t expect that at all. There are good people out there,’ Jaydenn’s mother said.

The mother also told KUTV that the strangers came, even as her West Valley town saw bad weather.

‘I just can’t say how grateful I am; we are truly very grateful from the bottom of our hearts.’

Lopez thanked the members of the group in a post on January 2.

Comments on the post were flooded with supporters who wanted to let the boy know he was loved.

“We are celebrating my sons birthday and you are welcome to join our party and we can make it the 3rd birthday party,” wrote a neighbor.

“I understand my birthday is 12/26, and most years no one shows up if I try to do something for my birthday with Christmas.” Sending all the wonderful birthday wishes! I love the blue and it looks so classy,” another person said.

‘Happy birthday little man! Our son turned 10 today! Have a great birthday both of you,” wrote another Utah resident.

Nine-year-old Jaydenn brought the community together in a big way for her birthday.

Lopez doubled down on her thanks in a Facebook post, once again thanking the group.

‘Jaydenn and I are beyond grateful! Thanks to everyone who took the time to send him birthday wishes, gifts and songs for him and much more, it sure meant a lot to see a smile on his face. Happy New Year everyone,” the mother wrote.
