Former U.S. women’s national team star Sydney Leroux has a special “hack” she uses as a mom to make her mornings with her kids easier.

The 34-year-old forward has a four-year-old and a seven-year-old, but is yet to get an early start at her club, Angel City FC.

And the mum hilariously revealed her children wear the next day’s clothes to bed every night, saving time every morning.

“My son was actually the one who thought of it first,” she said CNBC Make it.

“I thought, ‘This is genius!’ We’re going to do this all the time. I’m going to do this with your sister.”

Leroux, who has scored four goals in the NWSL this season, said the method “saves us a lot of time.

She told Make It that her son – who has to wear a uniform to school – sometimes sleeps in a polo shirt, while her daughter likes to sleep in “comfortable clothes.”

Leroux shares sons Cassius, 7, and Roux, 4, with ex-husband (and fellow professional footballer) Dom Dwyer.

The couple split in 2021, with Leroux saying at the time: “My children have always been and will always be my first priority.”

The Canadian-born forward, who last played for the United States in 2017, has scored 35 goals for her country and was part of the winning teams at the 2012 Olympics and 2015 World Cup.
