The United States Men’s National Team defeated the CONCACAF Minnows Grenada 7-1 in St George’s on Friday night.
Already unbeaten in the CONCACAF Nations League, the Stars and Stripes never seemed in any danger while in the capital.
Ricardo Pepe scored the opening goal in the fourth minute and finished off with a brace. So did Weston McKennie.
While American Premier League stars Christian Pulisic and Brenden Aaronson also scored.
Alejandro Zendejas capped off the match with the seventh and final goal for the USA. More importantly, it was his first goal as a USMNT player after pledging his allegiance to the United States on Mexico.
Interim coach Anthony Hudson’s team provided an emphatic response to the off-field controversies that have brewed since the US was knocked out of the World Cup by the Netherlands in December.
