Leeds United’s USA experiment has ended in disaster after the Premier League club was relegated on the last day of the season.
The Yorkshire side’s three-season stay in England’s top flight ended with little more than a whimper as Tottenham cruised to a 4-1 victory at Elland Road on Sunday.
Leeds fall back to the Championship after a season that saw the sacking of US coach Jesse Marsch and the signing of US stars Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie.
McKennie’s short time at Leeds came to an acrimonious end, with some of the home help chanting; ‘you fat b*****d’ at the Juventus man.
