Naima Cochrane, a former marketing executive at Columbia and Epic Records, told Forbes: “There is no greater moment of impact.
“It would be ridiculous not to have a call to action that people can immediately follow, for example as soon as he says goodnight there should be a button that someone can press to spend some money to do something for him.”
While it is customary for headliners to perform for three shows at halftime, some artists have put their own money into the gig in the past.
The Weeknd reportedly spent $7 million to stage his performance, while Dr. Dre spent the same amount to ensure the show fit his vision.
Usher has promised to take fans through a setlist spanning his 30 years of discography, telling Vogue that the show will feel like a personal serenade.
The star previously joined The Black Eyed Peas during the halftime show of Super Bowl XLV in 2011.

DailyMail has exclusively revealed that the singer turned to Janet Jackson for inspiration while putting together his highly anticipated set.
Although Usher hasn’t worked with Janet in recent years, longtime fans of the singer will remember that the star was invited to open for Janet’s Velvet Rope Tour in 1998 – when he was making waves with his second album, My Way.
Usher will use his big moment as an opportunity to show his appreciation for the pop music icon, and wants to use his set to “right” what happened during her controversial 2004 performance with Justin Timberlake.
They have been in regular contact,” an insider told DailyMail.com. “He studied her during rehearsals, so you’ll see some of her influence in the pop part of his set.”

The source added that Janet shared valuable words of wisdom to ensure the Burn hitmaker remembers to enjoy the moment.
“Janet encourages him to focus on having fun and to treat the performance as a party above all,” they said.
‘Usher’s first big touring break came when Janet Jackson invited him to prepare for her Velvet Rope Tour. He was always grateful.”
They continued, “One of his favorite Janet tours is The RockWitU Tour because it had futuristic themes and you’ll see a lot of that in the show.”
Janet famously graced the Super Bowl stage with her own set in 2004, but the night is now remembered for her unfortunate wardrobe malfunction during a duet with Timberlake.
