USA ‘set to poach Valencia winger Declan Frith away from England’…  former Chelsea and Aston Villa youngster could follow in footsteps of Yunus Musah and Folarin Balogun

The United States men's national team will sign Valencia winger Declan Frith from England, according to multiple reports.

Frith is said to have been on the radar of American scouts since 2021, when he joined Chelsea.

Now 21, he moved to Aston Villa after just five months in London.

Due to his grandmother's ancestry, he is eligible to play for the US and is reportedly applying for a US passport in order to switch countries.

Frith joined Valencia this summer and recorded two goals and an assist in his first two youth games. He also played four times for Valencia B in the third division.

Frith previously played in English football, with spells at Aston Villa and Chelsea

Valencia have become increasingly reliant on youth players in recent years and are reportedly set to quickly bring Frith into the first team in the coming months.

He has also played as a left back throughout his career.

It is said that Frith is likely to start his career in the US by suiting up for the U23 team before getting the chance to follow in the footsteps of former Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, who has made 33 appearances for the US after changing his allegiance.

Monaco striker Folarin Balogun also recently swapped an English passport for an American passport and made his debut for the US at the Nations League tournament in June.

Jamica is also said to have approached Frith, but has no hope of landing him.
