US Soccer has released kits for use by the men’s and women’s teams at this summer’s Copa America and Olympic Games – and Nike’s designs have divided opinion among fans.
For the home kit, Nike opted for a fairly classic white design, with red detailing on the cuffs and a blue and red mix on the collar. Navy blue shorts are worn with the home kit, which also feature the words ‘One Nation, One Team’ in the collar.
The away kit, meanwhile, is the bolder selection of the two as it is largely blue but features a red and white tie-dye effect on the bottom of the shirt. The shirt is also combined with red shorts and red socks.
And not everyone was a fan of the new uniforms.
‘The shorts with the white kit look ridiculous, but the shirt is fine, I think. The away kit is amateurish,” someone wrote underneath Nike’s X post the announcement of the kits.
US Soccer released its 2024 kits on Monday, with Nike going for a bold uniform design

But some fans weren’t happy with the newly released uniforms on Monday
‘Has anyone at Nike actually seen a flag? Are the designers color blind? Why can’t you figure out what color blue the flag is?
Another fan also called for the jersey to reflect the American flag: “How about using our country bird as a logo instead of some corny American shield. Nike is so basic with our kit.”
Another fan added: “2026 has to be better,” referring to the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
However, other fans were more positive about the newly released jerseys.
One wrote: “The detail of those classic white tones,” along with a fire emoji.
Christian Pulisic and Sergino Dest modeled the home and away kits respectively
Meanwhile, the USWNT’s Rose Lavelle, Abby Dahlkemper and Becky Sauerbrunn also posed in the white home jersey
Others were more positive about the designs ahead of the Copa America and the Olympics
The inside of the collar features an inspiring message for players: ‘One Nation, One Team’
Another said: ‘Red shorts with the away kit, crying tears of joy. This is a good set and the best we’ve seen in a few years.’
And a third fan added: Any American fan who doesn’t like the home kit… I really don’t know what to tell you. This is what an American home kit should look like.”
Both the men’s and women’s teams shared photos of their players modeling the shirt, including Christian Pulisic and Rose Lavelle appearing on the shirts.
The jerseys go on sale on March 21.
The Copa America will be hosted in the US this summer, with the men’s team taking part in the tournament running from June 19 to July 14.
Meanwhile, both the men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Paris Olympics, which start on July 26.
