Tommy Paul advanced to the fourth round of the US Open on Friday and received an unusual autograph request after the match.

After signing a fan’s forehand, Paul signed a roll of toilet paper held by another supporter.

He smiled as he complied with the odd request, with the fan elated at the moment.

Paul was unsurprisingly in good spirits after his 6-1, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, admitting after the game he was concerned about the attendance at Arthur Ashe Stadium .

“I was actually pretty nervous that no one would show up and they’d never put me on Ashe again,” he laughed. “I’m glad you came to see me, thanks.”

Paul also recognized a young fan who cheered him on during a previous game.

“Last night I was two sets down on zero. He was the only one who said, “I’ll be here all night.” He really got me through that game.’

“Is he coming back?” Paul was asked.

‘Absolute. I don’t play a game here without him’
