US Olympic star Ilona Maher wows at Emmys before joining fellow Paris heroes Stephen Nedoroscik, Caeleb Dressel and Ezra Frech onstage

Ilona Maher’s red carpet performance at the 2024 Emmys was as medal-worthy as her performance on the rugby field.

The 28-year-old, who led Team USA to bronze in the women’s rugby sevens in Paris, made a splash as she stepped onto the red carpet at the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

The two-time Olympian exuded old-school Hollywood glamour in a strapless midnight-blue velvet peplum dress by Oscar de la Renta and statement earrings.

The rugby star, who will grace the ballroom floor in the latest season of Dancing With The Stars, completed her flashy look with her signature red lips and a curly updo.

Maher continued to beam as she took the stage for her second stunning performance of the evening.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model wore a form-fitting, black strapless dress with a daring slit in the leg and a striking purple sculptural bodice.

The athlete shone in her new outfit as she took to the stage with her fellow athletes to announce her category.

Maher was joined by gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, who will emulate her on the DWTS, swimmer Caeleb Dressel and Paralympic athlete Ezra Frech, who won gold in the high jump and 100 meters in Paris.

Maher is no stranger to turning heads after making her SI Swimsuit debut as the cover model for the magazine’s September digital issue.

She showed off her figure in several swimsuits and showed off her Olympic medal on the beach on behalf of SI.

In Paris she made headlines when she wanted to transform the Olympic Village into ‘Love Island’ because of the high percentage of single athletes.

“I can’t wait to get into the Olympic villa. It’s going to be a crazy summer,” Maher said in a July TikTok video that parodied the introductions of Love Island contestants on the British reality TV show.

“Honestly, I’m probably the fittest bird there.”

After an off-screen friend reminded Maher of her main goal during the Olympics, she reluctantly agreed not to convert the Olympic Village into a ‘Love Island’ villa.

“I think so, if we want to say that, but I’m still going to try to pair up early,” Maher joked. “It’s early, but I’m here to find love.”
